How to Trace Embroidery Pattern using a Window! | Embroidery Tracing
Window Tracing Method
All you need! ☺ |
Materials:
- Printed image/pattern
- Tape
- Pencil or heat erase-able pen - I'll be using a Prisma Jet Black Pencil
- Embroidery Hoop - preferably with the fabric tightly secured.
Let's begin!
Find a window with the most lighting beaming through, then start by tapping your image to hold in place.
This part is a little tricky, try to adjust yourself in a position comfortable enough to not move your hoop too much when tracing your design onto the fabric.
Super simple and super easy!
Since I want to watercolor the background block pattern and don't want the black pencil to overpower my yellow watercolor, I used a yellow basic Crayola color pencil to trace the square blocks.
& that's all!
